Our program is divided into 3 levels: Fundamentals, Applied, and Mastery
This means that our teachers will have more time and attention to dedicate to your child's personal skills! Having levels that are defined by skill knowledge and ability also allows our teachers to give each dancer a set of realistic expectations and a more positive experience in the studio. Progressing through an aerial program in terms of skill knowledge and execution ability, allows for all children to go at his or her own pace. This will level the playing field in each class, creating more achieved goals, clearer expectations, and happier dancers.
Our first dance level is called "Fundamentals"; In this class, students will focus on the fundamentals! They will work on conditioning to gain strength and flexibility, while learning skills and different aspects of dance to build toward the ultimate goal of being a strong, well rounded aerialist.
If you are new, you will start with a fundamental class.
Our second level is called "Applied"; this class will focus on applying fundamental skills towards the continued development of skills, sequences, fluidity, strength and flexibility. There will be a strong emphasis on polishing techniques previously learned in Fundamentals and building upon them.
Our third level is called "Mastery"; this is our higher level class for students who have completed Fundamentals and Applied and have the necessary pre-requisite strength and skills to master more challenging aerial poses, transitions and sequences.
Your child's teacher will let you know when your student is ready to move up.
